Color Sorting with DIY Dyed Pasta

Color sorting with our dyed pasta and #diy painted bowls.

Color identifying is still a little complex for Miles. Around 18 months is a good time to start color classifying and identifying.

In this picture you can see Miles placing a red noodle into a red bowl. He did not sort the other colors, I did. This is how I’m starting to scaffold and help Miles identify colors. I placed one noodle into each bowl and said the color. I then gave him a red noodle and said “I see an empty red bowl, can you put the red noodle into the empty red bowl?” Miles understood that one bowl was empty so that must mean that the red noodle he is holding must go into that bowl.
